At present, Kohli has 72 international centuries to his name, and he has now gone past Ricky Ponting in this case. Virat Kohli now has 2 Test matches to better this record. He is now number two in the list of centuries after Sachin Tendulkar (100).

Kohli, who wasn’t in his finest shape for a long, has now found his mojo again. He concluded Asia Cup 2022 as the second-highest run scorer with 276 runs from five innings, including a century against Afghanistan. It was his 71st century in international cricket and his first-ever T20I century.
Then, the legendary batter finished with 296 runs from six games, including four half-centuries, to become the T20 World Cup 2022’s leading scorer in Australia. And now in the upcoming Bangladesh series, he will attempt to surpass Ricky Ponting’s number by recording his 72nd international 100.
