Will Virat Kohli end his century drought against Bangladesh? India vs Bangladesh 1st Test begins on December 14 at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. The two-match Test series is the perfect opportunity for Kohli to finally end his century drought. In the 2022 season, Kohli played just four matches and scored a total of 220 runs at an average of 31.43. His highest score of 79 runs came against South Africa at Newlands, Capetown.
The former skipper has even registered as many as four ducks since scoring his last century. Coming to the overall numbers since his last century (November 2019), Kohli has scored 2,478 runs from 63 international games. He managed to score the runs at an average of 37.54 which also include 24 half-centuries.

Virat Kohli has impressive numbers against Bangladesh in his test career. He has so far scored 392 runs in just five innings at an average of 78.40 including two centuries. The two-match test series will be an opportunity for him to surpass current coach Rahul Dravid and become second highest run-getter against Bangladesh. Dravid has scored 560 runs in ten innings against Bangladesh and Kohli needs 1689 runs to surpass his total. If Kohli surpasses Dravid, then he will have only legendary Sachin Tendulkar ahead of him in the list.
