KL Rahul shunned his poor form in style with a stylish half-century on Wednesday. The Indian vice-captain had managed 3 single-digit scores before the Bangladesh clash, but turned the tide in stunning fashion. Having lost Rohit Sharma early, Rahul took the responsibility of getting the runs threading the boundary with relative ease.
The Indian opener took on Shoriful in the powerplay, smashing a 32-ball half-century in the first phase of the game. KL took advantage of the powerplay and cleared the fence in his typical fashion, smashing four sixes, to go alongside his three boundaries in Adelaide.

KL Rahul’s upturn in form comes after some advice from teammate Virat Kohli. Kohli, who recently went through a rough patch, was seen chatting with KL in practice giving him some much-needed advice to shun his poor returns. In an indoor practice session on Tuesday, Kohli walked up to his compatriot after batting coach Vikram Rathour raised his arms high to release the ball.
Rathour stopped midway and asked Rahul to check his foot movement. Kohli, then, depicted through shadow movement opens up his shoulder and plays a shot which will keep his front foot free to react as per the demands of the ball. Despite his struggles, Rahul has been backed strongly by the Indian team management including the likes of head coach Rahul Dravid and batting coach Vikram Rathour.

The Indian vice-captain rightfully delivered on the faith and smashed a stunning fifty. Kohli meanwhile also reached another half-century, his third of the tournament. The duo helped India post a mammoth 184 on the board, putting the Men in Blue in command against Bangladesh.
