Virat Kohli left furious by Bangladesh batsmen with time-wasting antics
In the video that has surfaced online, Kohli made the angry gesture when Najmul Shanto started tying his shoelaces after the fifth ball of the sixth over, following which the umpires called for stumps. That was not the only incident in which Shanto was found time-wasting. After Bangladesh had come out to bat in the second innings, he opted for a change of his bat. The 12th man arrived on the field with many options but he decided to continue with the one he was playing with.

After losing openers early, India were reduced to 94/4 at one stage. However, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant steadied India’s innings as they wer cautious with their batting approach. Iyer and Pant put on 159 run partnership between before both the players fell short of the three figure mark. Iyer ended up scoring 87, while Pant chipped in with 93.
Bangladesh bowlers were disciplined with their bowling effort allowing India to take a lead of only 87 runs. For Bangladesh Taijul Islam and Shakib Al Hasan picked four wickets each in the first innings.The match currently played at Mirpur is evenly poised with India taking a reasonable lead in the first innings after being bowled out for 314 in their 1st innings.
