Why Cheteshwar Pujara’s form is a big worry for India ?

Coming to the form, the Saurashtra player last scored his century back in 2019. Playing against Australia at Sydney cricket ground, Pujara had scored 193 runs and helped India register a famous win. The 34-year-old started the year with a poor performance with the bat during India’s tour of South Africa. He had registered scores of 0, 16, 3, 53, 43, and 9.

Following the South Africa tour, Pujara was dropped for the test series against Sri Lanka. He returned back with a bang scoring back-to-back half-centuries against England and most recently in India A’s win over Bangladesh A. The upcoming two match series against Bangladesh will be a make or break series for Pujara with the likes of Abhimanyu Easwaran and Suryakumar Yadav knocking the selectors door for a place in the test set up.
