But Nitin Menon denied Australia the momentum. Captain Steve Smith had his moment of brainfade again as he refused to take the DRS as never got Carey’s nod.

Despite shaky start, Rohit Sharma went on to complete his 17,000 international runs with three boundaries in the next two overs.
However, Rohit’s luck did not help him for long. It was Matthew Kuhnemann who dismissed Rohit in the 6th over. Thus, it saved Australia from humiliation.
