Kohli will be seen in action in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The right-handed batter has excellent numbers against the Aussies and he holds the key of India’s success in the upcoming series. The right-handed batter has played 20 Test matches against Australia and has amassed 1682 runs at an average of almost 50. He has stroked seven centuries and five fifties against the Kangaroos in the Test format.
Kohli’s Test form has been far from impressive. In the 2-Test series against Bangladesh in Bangladesh in December 2022, Kohli managed just 45 runs across 4 innings. The star batter struggled against spin, getting out without even managing starts in the series.
Kohli’s form will be crucial to India’s chances in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy as they are heading into the first Test without Shreyas Iyer (back injury) and Rishabh Pant, who has been ruled out of the entire series due to injuries he picked up after a horrific car accident in December.
