Angkrish Raghuvanshi has been performing really well in the ongoing U-19 World Cup

Angkrish Raghuvanshi: Currently placed 3rd in the list of the highest run-getters of the tournament, Raghuvanshi has been excellent with the bat. The young hard-hitting opener has scored 272 runs in just 4 innings with a high average of 68.00. His personal best score of 144 came in India’s humongous group match victory against Uganda. Eyes will surely be on this fiery batter. 

 

Teague Wyllie: The 17-year-old is a terrific batsman. Placed just below Raguvanshi in the top run-getters list, the young Australian has managed to score 268 runs in 4 innings with an astounding average of 132.00. His highest score of 101 not out in the tournament came against Scotland in their group match.

Vicky Ostwal has been one of the prolific bowers for India in the U-19 World Cup

Vicky Ostwal: The 19-year-old spinner has been one of the most devastating firepowers of the bowling department of the Indian contingent. Ostwal has scalped 9 wickets in 4 innings with a brilliant average of 9.66. His best figures came against South Africa where he picked up a fifer by giving away just 28 runs. 

 

Tom Whitney: The 19-year-old fast bowler has been one of the top performers on his side. Having played just 3 games, he has managed to pick up 7 wickets with an average of 12.85 and would be a key player against India. His best figures were against West Indies where he scalped 3 wickets.

India’s U-19 squad has been in tremendous form despite the fact that the squad was severely affected by Covid. India comfortably won all their group stages and went on to meet the current defending champions Bangladesh in the quarter-finals as the group topper. India took revenge for the 2020 shocker as the Indian Colts comprehensively defeated the neighbouring country.

On the other hand, Australia suffered a loss at the hands of Sri Lanka in their group stage game but managed to comprehensively defeat Pakistan in the quarter-finals to book their semis berth with India.
