However, today with Rohit Sharma being rested, both KL Rahul and Virat Kohli started the game for the Men in Blue. Till now in the tournament, Kohli has gone on to score 179 runs with the highest score of 60. The former India skipper managed to score two half-centuries and is just behind Pakistani opener Mohammad Rizwan in the highest scorer list.
As for KL Rahul, the Indian vice-captain has had a lukewarm relationship with his bat. Returning from an injury, Rahul barely got any batting practice in the 3 ODI match series against Zimbabwe. In the Asia Cup 2022 tournament, he managed to score 96 runs from 5 innings.
