Team India to field a lot of youngsters in the ODI series
With seniors rested, the series will feature a lot of youngsters. Veteran batter Shikhar Dhawan is set to lead India. Rishabh Pant will be his deputy. It will also mark the return of Deepak Chahar. The pacer missed the T20 World Cup with a back problem.
With the big names like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul resting, some young guns will be aiming to capitalise on the chances. Shubman Gill is set to open with Dhawan. Shreyas Iyer and Sanju Samson will also be in fray. But focus will be on Suryakumar Yadav. The World No 1 T20 batter will aim to improve his ODI records.
Head coach Rahul Dravid will also miss the series. VVS Laxman will continue to oversee preparations.
