Usman Khawaja scored his first century against India as Australia ended Day 1 at a commanding 255/4 in Ahmedabad.
In front of a packed crowd that hosted prime ministers Narendra Modi and Anthony Albanese, Khawaja became the first Australian to score a century in this series. In a field day for India, Mohammed Shami was the pick of the bowlers.
