Imola GP Live: ‘Slippery SLOPE’ drivers struggle at wet Imola – The Imola GP gets underway and the conditions were horrible for the drivers as it was raining since the morning. All the drivers on the grid found it hard to cope with the conditions on the track. However, it resulted in half the grid slipping on the track and going off the track. The four major incidents which took place in the FP1 session involved Valtteri Bottas, Nicholas Latifi, Lando Norris, and Lance Stroll.

Nicholas Latifi after coming out on the track went on the gravel and couldn’t control his car. He on his team radio kept telling the team, “The car keeps on going on anti-stall, very strange.”
Then Valtteri Bottas in the ending part of the FP1 session lost control of his car and hit the barriers at the exit of Acque Minerali. Meanwhile, Bottas was lucky as he narrowly escaped and didn’t do any damage to his car.

Lando Norris was the third one who saw himself in the gravel. The red flags came into existence when this happened. Norris took the white line on the corner entry and then slid around rearwards into the gravel.

Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll went off the track and into the gravel as he locked up his front tyres at Turn 13.
Charles Leclerc was the first driver who spun his car at the Imola circuit. Leclerc spun his car at Turn 14 and made a donut on the track as he was not able to control his car.
Even his teammate Carlos Sainz went off the track and onto the grass as he was also not able to control his car.
Meanwhile, other drivers also slipped off the track after horrible conditions on the track. The other drivers involved Carlos Sainz, Charles Leclerc, Mick Schumacher, Kevin Magnussen, Max Verstappen, Esteban Ocon.
