ICC Player Rankings: Babar Azam tops T20 batting rankings: As the T20 World Cup 2021 is done and dusted, the new MRF Tyres ICC Player Rankings have been released. Pakistan skipper Babar Azam sits in the summit position with 839 points in the batting rankings, with no Indian player in the top 5 spots. Sri Lanka’s legspinner Wanindu Hasaranga has claimed the top position in bowler’s ranking while Afghanistan’s T20I skipper Mohammad Nabi tops the all-rounder’s chart.

Surprisingly, no Indian player is in the top 10 spots in the bowlers as well as all-rounder’s chart.

Men’s T20I Rankings: Batting: Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan and New Zealand’s Devon Conway are the two significant gainers in the newly released rankings. Devon Conway’s vital 46 against England in the semi-final has helped him climb three places to fourth position while M Rizwan has reached to 5th spot replacing India’s KL Rahul.

Indian opener KL Rahul has moved down to the sixth position. Virat Kohli sitting firmly at eighth position is the second Indian name in the top 10 rankings.

Australia all-rounder Mitchell Marsh, who struck an impressive 77 not out off 50 balls to be named Player of the Match in the final against New Zealand, has progressed six spots to reach joint-13th position among batters.

On the other hand, Player of the Tournament Warner’s scores of 49 against Pakistan in their semifinal and 53 in the final have helped him move up eight places to 33rd position.

New Zealand captain Kane Williamson who top-scored in the final with a knock of 85, has gained seven places to reach 32nd position.

Men’s T20I Rankings: Bowlers: In the bowlers, Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga has claimed the top position. Hasaranga ended up as the leading wicket-taker in the recently concluded marquee event.

Australia’s Adam Zampa has stormed into the top three and made a significant gain moving up by two spots. Zampa has leapfrogged England’s Adil Rashid and Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan to claim the 3rd position in the new rankings.

Fast bowler Josh Hazlewood, whose haul of three for 16 in the final sees him move up two places to sixth position.

New Zealand’s left-arm seamer Trent Boult is up seven places to 14th position after taking two for 18 in the final while Pat Cummins (up 24 places to 37th) and Chris Woakes (up 21 places to 46th) have also moved up the bowlers’ list.

Men’s T20I Rankings: All-rounders: In all-rounders, Afghanistan T20I skipper Mohammad Nabi and Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan remain firm at first and second spot respectively. However, England’s Liam Livingstone has made a notable gain and has claimed 3rd spot in the rankings, moving up by 7 spots.
