ICC Men’s Events 2024-31: India to host three ICC Events in 2024-31 cycle: The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday announced the hosts for the next eight ICC Events in the 2024-31 cycle. The BCCI has been declared hosts for three of the eight events including the 2026 T20 World Cup and the 2031 ODI World Cup. India is also the host for the 2023 ODI World Cup.
Apart from India, 13 nations have been confirmed as the hosts for the ICC men’s white-ball events from 2024-2031. 11 Full member countries and three associate nations will be hosting different events across the eight-year cycle.
The hosts were selected via a competitive bidding process overseen by a Board sub-committee chaired by Martin Snedden along with Sourav Ganguly and Ricky Skerritt.
ICC Events 2024-31: India to host T20 World Cup in 2026, ODI World Cup in 2031
The ICC Board sub-committee confirmed that India will be the hosts for the 2026 T20 World Cup, 2029 Champions Trophy, and 2031 ODI World Cup. The Board accepted the recommendations of the committee while deciding on the host counties for these eight ICC Events.
India will be hosting the 2026 T20 World Cup along with Sri Lanka and the 2031 ODI World Cup along with Bangladesh. However, the 2029 Champions Trophy will be hosted by the BCCI alone.

ICC Chair Greg Barclay shared his thoughts on the first-time bidding process to decide hosts and thanked each bidder for submitting the bid.
“We are delighted to have concluded this competitive bidding process for the first time for ICC events. To have 14 Members hosting 8 events is a reflection of the truly global nature of our sport and I’d like to thank every Member that submitted a bid and offer our congratulations to the successful bidders,” said Greg Barclay.
