ICC Awards 2022: ICC T20I Team of the Year – The ICC Team of the Year recognises 11 outstanding cricketers who have impressed everyone with their performances. Be it with the bat, the ball or their all-round exploits in a calendar year. ICC has released the T20 team of the year. Shockingly Arshdeep Singh was omitted from the team and Haris Rauf was preferred over him. In the last T20 World Cup that happened last year, Haris Rauf played 7 matches and scalped 8 wickets. Whereas Arshdeep Singh played 6 matches and took 10 wickets. Singh’s best bowling figure in T20 World Cup was 3/32 at an economy rate of 7.80 and Rauf’s best performance was 2/23 at an economy rate of 6.84.
In the calendar year 2022, Arshdeep played a total of 21 matches and scalped 33 wickets. On the other hand, Haris Rauf played a total of 23 games and took 31 wickets. Clearly, the Indian star has played less number of matches than Pakistan’s ace bowler and still managed to get more wickets.

Meanwhile, record-breaker Virat Kohli, India’s Mr.360 SuryaKumar Yadav and star all-rounder Hardik Pandya have been included in the T20 team of the year. While the captain of the team is the recent winner of the T20 World Cup and skipper of England’s team Jos Buttler.
