Initially, the fight between Jale Paul and Nate Diaz was set for 8 rounds at 185 pounds. Later Jake Paul mentioned that Nate Paul had asked Jake to move up the fight from 8 rounds to a 10-round fight, which he agreed to. Soon after Jake had made the announcement public. Nate Diaz announced that he was okay with an 8-round fight.

Finally, the request was received by the commission in charge of the fight, and as a result, Paul vs. Diaz will now consist of 10 rounds at the 185 lbs weight category.
As per the post made by the @mostvaluablepromotions, we are able to make this decision based on their Instagram post, also whilst attaching the caption to it, which reads:” It’s official, Nate Diaz requested, Jake Paul agreed and the Texas Athletic Commission approved. 10 rounds, 185 pounds, 10oz gloves. Saturday, August 5th #PaulDiaz.”
Obviously, this fight will be advantageous for Nate as per Jake as this will be the first time for Jake to be participating in a 10-round fight, also making it the longest fight in his entire fighting career. Nate is known for his exponential stamina and fighting long fights, and this is exactly why Nate put forward such a request in front of Jake but Jake said that he was willing to uptake the fight.
On August 5, Paul vs. Diaz will be broadcast live on DAZN pay-per-view; the undercard fights for the card are still to be decided.
