The Scorchers lost two wickets in the powerplay but wicketkeeper Josh Inglis and Aaron Hardie took the team past finish line.  The duo put up an unbeaten 132 run partnership. Inglis remaining unbeaten on 67 runs of 35 balls, while Hardie stayed unbeaten on  65 off 45 balls.
