Ayush Badoni hogged the limelight after his heroics in the 2018 U19 tournament. He is also an off-spin bowler besides being a quality middle-order batter.
In a short interview by host broadcaster Star Sports, the youngster said that he was awake all night ahead of his IPL debut. He felt that the wicket was decent enough and the ball was coming on pretty well as he was completely focused on playing well rather than on the scoreline.

Ayush Badoni was humble after that knock. He said he wasn’t even looking at the scorecard and didn’t realise he reached his fifty on debut.
I wasn’t looking at the score, I was just batting and wasn’t thinking of my fifty. I just wanted to play my natural game. I realized I got a fifty only after I got there. I couldn’t sleep last night, I was very nervous. After I hit the first boundary, I got confidence. The ball was cutting initially and after six overs it does get flat,” Ayush Badoni said.
