In a shocking turn of events, reports surfaced that the Godlike Esports roster will be seen participating in the upcoming PMGC 2021 Finals as the representations from India instead of Skylightz Gaming, the winners of BGIS 2021. Previously, it was announced that only the champion team from BGIS 2021 will be able to participate in the much anticipated global championship finals of PUBG Mobile. Although there’s still no official announcement, reports are saying that all the top 3 teams have failed to meet the eligibility criteria to travel to Dubai and participate in the semi-LAN event. However, Gemwire.gg, who previously leaked this information, has recently posted another update, correcting that it’s not just Godlike, but all the top 4 teams have been suggested to keep their documents ready. Rectifying their mistake, Gemwire posted, “After speaking to other teams, we have been told other teams are also still in contention for the slot. All the top 4 teams have been asked if they have valid documentation to travel to Dubai. GemWire is sorry for posting this premature news. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience caused”.

At this point, nothing is confirmed, but Ghatak, who has been the face of Godlike Esports, revealed in his Instagram story that nothing is confirmed now and the organization had no play in it. He also had put the blame on the management of the other team’s organization for not arranging player passports ahead of time.
Nevertheless, as per the last story posted by him, it seems very likely that we are going to see Godlike participating in PMGC.
