Genshin Impact version 2.0 has arrived with the introduction of a new region known as Inazuma and plenty of new characters, Artifacts, enemies, and many more features. There is a lot to explore in Inazuma ranging from defeating the Perpetual Mechanical Array to gardening in the Teapot Realm, the list goes on and on. There are several NPCs that have been introduced in the version 2.0 update but they are not playable yet. It is speculated that those NPCs might become available to players in the upcoming update. The Genshin Impact 2.1 beta update is already live, and few leaks of the upcoming content have been rumored. According to reports, Genshin Impact 2.1 update will introduce the concept of fishing but it is not clear exactly how it will work. Popular leakers like Abc64 and Genshin Intel have also posted pictures of fishing rods and fishes on twitter. Genshin Impact dataminer Lumie also suggested that Genshin Impact 2.1 banners will include Kujou Sara and Raiden Shogun. The second banner will introduce Kokomi.

Following the general update schedule of miHoYo, which is six weeks, the Genshin Impact 2.1 will be released on September 01, 2021. The first banner will release with the update itself and the Second banner which includes Kokomi is expected to release on September 22, 2021. Genshin Impact has also planned a crossover with Horizon Zero Dawn, which will bring the five-star character, Aloy to the game. Aloy will arrive in the version 2.2 update for PlayStation users, while others will get their hands on Aloy in the version 2.3 update.
There are a lot of new events which will be introduced in Genshin Impact 2.1 update which includes the following:
- Spectral Secrets: Players need to collect information on Spectres in Inazuma
- Hyakunin Ikki Event: A combat tournament in Inazuma
- Lunar Realm: Players need to find the legendary Lunar Leviathan fish.
- Light Caresses the Moon: A cooking contest between Keqing and Xiangling.
- Mendacious Waves: Players need to defeat the Hydro Hypostasis
- Distant Storm: Players are introduced with an Electro version of the Oceanid.
