Spain’s Rafael Nadal rightfully sits at the top of the pile, with record 14 French Open titles against his name. His dominance on the Red Dirt started in 2005, with his last title coming in 2022. During this period, he lost at the Garros only thrice and his overall record stands at 112-3.

France’s Max Decugis is the second most successful player after Nadal. Decugis bagged six French Open titles and dominated the clay court in Paris between 1903 and 1914.

Before Nadal’s incredible streak at the French Open, Sweden’s Bjon Borg dominated the Red Clay in Paris. The great man won the French Open six times between 1974 and 1981.

The list also includes some great names like Rod Laver, Roy Emerson, Ivan Lendl among others. Serbia’s Novak Djokovic is the only active player in the above mentioned list, and has a great chance to add few more French Open titles, before hanging his boots.
