Formula 1 LIVE Broadcast – Star Sports Formula 1 Deal Renewal: Formula 1 on Thursday declared that it has extended its contracts through to the end of the 2022 season with Disney (Fuji TV, DAZN) in Japan and Star India.

Along with the Formula 1 world championship, the rights agreements also include the support championships – Formula 2, Formula 3 and the Porsche Supercup.

Other than Indian Sub-Continent, Formula 1 also announced host of other new partnerships in the Asian region.

F1 partner in SE Asia Fox Sports channels have shut down in the region and new broadcasters in the regions have been announced to cut the loses caused by the development.

Along with announcements previously made by Now TV, the media entertainment arm of Hong Kong telco HKT; and telco Singtel, which acquired rights in Singapore; deals have also been agreed with TrueVisions in Thailand, Emtek Group in Indonesia, and Tap DMV in the Philippines.

Subject to final confirmation, Astro will broadcast F1 in Malaysia and Brunei; and VSTV in Vietnam; along with Canal+ in Myanmar. In addition, StarHub is also set to broadcast the remainder of the 2021 season in Singapore.

Michaella Snoeck, head of media rights at Formula 1, said: “Following the closure of the Fox Sports channels in Asia, we’re very pleased to be entering these new partnerships in order to ensure that we can continue to bring the F1 action to our fans there.”

Turkish Grand Prix LIVE:With the new deals in place ahead of the Turkish Grand Prix, fans in Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Vietnam and Myanmar can continue to follow the remaining seven rounds of this incredible 2021 season, and follow every race in 2022.

With agreements in place between Formula 1 and PCCW (Now TV) in Hong Kong; Singtel in Singapore; TrueVisions in Thailand; Tap DMV in the Philippines; Astro in Malaysia and Brunei*; Emtek Group in Indonesia*; and VSTV in Vietnam and Canal+ in Myanmar*, fans can enjoy live coverage from every Grand Prix weekend in each respective market. Fans in Singapore will also be able watch the climatic 2021 battle between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen on StarHub in Singapore*.
