Formula 1 Las Vegas GP: First Hot Lap of the Iconic Las Vegas f1 Track: Formula 1 has announced that Las Vegas will be holding an F1 race in 2023. Jarno Opmeer is one of the very first drivers to have driven a hot lap on the track. The race will be under neon lights and is a street circuit. It will be an exciting street circuit that will have the famous Las Vegas strip. The last race that took place in the ‘Sin City’ was back in 1981 and 1982.

However, this time the race will take place on the streets of Las Vegas. It includes a 2km stretch of the famous Las Vegas strip. The track features a 6.12km circuit that will make its way through the city.
Jarno Opmeer is a Dutch E-sports driver and also a former racing driver. He was the Formula One eSports Champion in the year 2020 and 2021. Jarno recently drove a hot lap at the Las Vegas track.

The new camera angle on the helmets this year provides us with stunning views of the track. Jarno even mentioned in the comments that the track features ‘Lots of straights.’ Overtaking won’t be an issue here as the track is 12-15m wide.

The circuit will feature famous hotels like the Venetian, Caesars Palace, and the Bellagio. It will also feature its iconic fountain and most importantly the Strip.
For the drivers as the 2km stretch comes to an end, they will have an overtaking opportunity while braking hard in a left-handed turn. On the track, there are two more straights. The track also features a high-speed corner sequence and a chicane too.
There were 31 different layout variations made by the designers before agreeing to the final layout. The track features a 14-turn high-speed design. Meanwhile, the drivers were excited after hearing the news that Las Vegas will host a race in 2023.
