In a post on a social media platform, McLaren decided to announce that it would provide an opportunity to Indian driver Jehan Daruvala who drives in F2 a chance in the Testing Previous car Programme.
As part of our Testing Previous Car (TPC) programme, @DaruvalaJehan will test the MCL35M at Silverstone on 21 June and 22 June.

The 23-year-old driver is super excited to try out his hands in an F1 car for the first time. Daruvala is grateful for his first F1 car opportunity and decided to thank his Red Bull junior team and McLaren for this opportunity.

Jehan Daruvala currently competes in the F2 Championship where he drives for the junior Red Bull team, aka Prema Racing. With 83 points in 6 races, Daruvala stands in the third sport in the championships.
The Indian racer was hailed as a protege in Force India and has been performing well in the F2 Championships. Desperate for a chance in F1, fortunes might favor him in the coming years.
