Esteban Ocon and Fernando Alonso are the two drivers who will be driving for Alpine this year. Ocon secured a maiden Grand Prix win last year at the Hungary Grand Prix. To add the cherry on the top, he did it without pitting even once during the race. Fernando Alonso finished third at the Qatar Grand Prix, making it his best finish in the 2021 season.

Ocon only managed to score 74 points in the 2021 season. Whereas, his teammate Fernando Alonso just managed to get past Ocon and scored 81 points. Meanwhile, Alpine finished fifth in the Constructors’ championship having scored 155 points.

Team Alpine will be hoping to go against the likes of AlphaTauri and Aston Martin in the Constructors’ championship. They were far behind McLaren in the 2021 season as McLaren scored 275 points and finished fourth.

Alonso said, “More power on the straights and more downforce in the corner, that is what we are aiming for, all drivers. The trackside is quite strong now. We saw last year we scored, both cars, in a race where we maybe didn’t have the pace to score with both cars, so we are strong in many areas.”
“We just need a competitive package out of the factories in Enstone and Viry. We have been working for several months, and we have high hopes but let’s see.”
