McGregor and Chandler will coach TUF 31 together, and they’ll likely fight later this year at welterweight. Many have speculated that because the fight is anticipated to take place at 170 pounds, the Irishman might get a chance to face Leon Edwards as he attempts to become the first fighter in UFC history to win crowns in three different weight divisions.

Although many people would probably select Edwards to defeat McGregor, Cejudo believes the Irishman has a better chance of winning ‘Rocky’ than Chandler.

Henry Cejudo justifies his opinion by saying that Michael Chandler may bring in all-American wrestling, he has already been in similar situations earlier, whereas, if McGregor chooses to fight against Leon he may emerge victorious due to Leon’s stubbornness. Though there is a possibility that Leon may beat Conor, Conor’s chances are definitely higher as both are southpaws.

Conor McGregor is unlikely to receive a title shot right away even if he fights Michael Chandler at 170 pounds. The UFC has been adamant that Colby Covington is up next, and that ‘Chaos’ would be followed by Belal Muhammad. However, money talks and there is little doubt that having McGregor compete for another UFC title would generate significant revenue for the organization.

However, McGregor must defeat Chandler first, which Cejudo believes would be more difficult said than done. Michael Chandler is a professional MMA fighter with a record of 23 wins and 8 losses.
