Chelsea Transfer: Chelsea are interested in signing Bundesliga sensation of Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Manu Kone in the summer transfer window. The Stamford Bridge outfit are looking to register the service of the 21-year-old who has established himself as one of the first names of Daniel Farke’s side. Chelsea wants to bolster their midfield ranks by adding Kone, who will cost around €50 million plus add-ons. Moreover, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has alerted that Kone’s performances haven’t gone unnoticed as several top European clubs eyeing to sign the defensive midfielder, Chelsea among the admirers. The transfer expert claims in his YouTube video, ‘It’s my understanding that three clubs in the moment are leading the race for Manu Kone, one for sure is Chelsea. Chelsea will be there. Manchester United are following the player too, so Chelsea, Man United and PSG.’ 

‘Other clubs still have time to enter the race and try to lead the race in the next few weeks but these three clubs are already exploring contacts and situation for Manu Kone.’

‘So, keep an eye on him because the expectation is for a summer move. It’s my understanding that a summer move will be worth at least, at least €50m with add-ons. So it’s going to be an expensive deal for Manu Kone.’

It is anticipated to be a fierce battle for the deal of the midfielder in the summer window, as many European giants eyeing Kone. The player possesses a lot of potentials and would be a great signing for the Blues and would form a great partnership with Enzo Fernandez in the long term, Enzo was signed for a massive deal of €120 million in the January window. The club’s new owners splashed €500 million in their first season, however, the latest reports suggest, Chelsea are one of the several clubs to record losses in the last season amounting to €121 million and €274 million in the last two.

Kone started his professional career at French outfit Toulouse and has represented France at the Under 18,19 and 21 levels. He moved to the German side Gladbach from Toulouse in 2021, and in the current season, he has 54 appearances in all competitions scoring 4 goals. In his 24 starts in the Bundesliga, he has recorded 2.6 tackles per game, as well as one interception per game. Moreover, FotMob rates the 21-year-old an impressive 7.06 rating.

Furthermore, the player shows great quality in tackling and a lot of determination off the ball with technical quality, enjoying an 86.9% pass completion rate in the league this term chipping in with a goal and an assist apiece.
