It was a big night for Cristiano Ronaldo, who broke another record with his 197th appearance for his country. The Al Nassr striker surpassed Kuwait’s Bader Al-Mutawa and became the most-capped player in international football history. Ronaldo made the night more memorable with his brace at the Jose Alvalade Stadium.
“I like to break records, I have broken a lot of records,” Ronaldo had told reporters on the eve of Thursday’s match.
