For some reason though, Donnarumma is unable to keep the ball in her hands and trips Alexandre Lacazette. Lacazette, however, misses it, and the game was still tied at the half time!

PSG has had possession for the first five minutes of the second half, but despite numerous attempts to do so, they are unable to gain a dangerous position. The greatest attempt was a cross from Nuno Mendes, but it was stopped and deflected out above the penalty area.

Sael Kumbedi’s fantastic looped pass from one side of the six-yard box to the other feeds Barcola, who scores a beautiful goal across the goal face to give Lyon the lead.The Parisians had a chance to tie the score right immediately thanks to a Messi corner. Bitshiabu headed the ball back to Vitinha at the edge of the box after the Argentine hoisted it towards the back post, but Vitinha’s attempt was stopped.

PSG has a good chance at a set piece. Lionel Messi delivers a fantastic ball directly to El Chadaille Bitshiabu in front of goal despite the fact that it is too far for him to go for goal. On the header, he fails miserably, but on the recycle, Messi spots Marquinhos’ head and he scores!
Hugo Ekitike and Fabian Ruiz replace Marco Verratti and Bitshiabu as PSG makes two substitutions. Although it’s an attacking adjustment, it’s unexpected to see midfield guru Verratti removed. The Italian immediately exits the pitch, raising the possibility that there might be an injury, which would be problematic for PSG.
Nuno Mendes successfully keeps a vertical ball in play in the corner flag, but then tumbles to draw a foul, resulting in a highly disputed ruling. The foul appeared to be mild and the ball appeared to have actually left the field of play. Nuno Mendes ultimately delivered a terrible free-kick that was far too short and was cleared by the first man. Paris loses because it is unable to penetrate Lyon’s defence.
