In a very recent Instagram post, the model shared a picture of a handwritten letter written in her diary. She expressed, “These have been horrible months, not the hardest of my life because I have faced many storms, but very dark and painful. The feeling of abandonment and loneliness knocks on my door again. Thousands of “why’s” with no answer. I chose as a life partner a person who in my eyes was perfect.”
A 23-year-old woman came forward and accused Dani Alves of sexual assault. When asked about it, Alves first denied knowing the young woman at all. However, his statement changed after he was arrested. He changed his story and admitted that he cheated on his wife with the accuser. However, he said that everything that happened between them was consensual and there was no sexual assault.

She wrote, “I think it’s going to take me years to erase from my memory his way of looking at me, that way he had of looking at me as if I were the most incredible thing in the world and damn, yes, I’m incredible.”
She continued, “I am incredible because I am hardworking, independent, intelligent, thoughtful, affectionate, funny, faithful and humane, and so human that despite the damage he has caused me, I am still here by his side. I continue and will continue to be, but in another way.”

Since Alves’ arrest 2 months ago, Sanz visited the ex-Barcelona star for the second time around 48 hours ago. The news of Sanz divorcing Alves came when the player was arrested. The model disparaged a few of the claims made by the media at that time, but she did not directly deny the divorce claims. She does not use the word ‘divorce’ in her recent post containing the letter either, but her words conspicuously say that the two are splitting.
About her decision to split from the player, she wrote, “I love him and I will always love him. Whoever says you forget love is either deceiving themselves or did not truly love. But I love myself, I respect myself and I value myself much more.”
She added, “Forgiving alleviates, so I keep the magic and close a stage of my life that began on 18/5/15. I give thanks for the opportunities and learning that life gives me, no matter how difficult they are. Here is a strong woman moving on to the next stage of her life.”
Aside from this recent news of Alves’ split from his wife, his life has only gone downhill since he was accused of rape. He was denied bail as the accuser’s lawyer, Ester Garcia argued in the court that he had enough money to flee to Brazil if he was released on bail. Additionally, Brazil has no policy to extradite its citizens if they have been sentenced abroad. His last club, UNAM Pumas also rightfully sacked the player once he was arrested.
