FIFAe Nations Series Play-Ins 2023 Match Week 2 Day 1 Results
A total of 7 teams are currently there in Division 1. India finished second after the conclusion of Match Week 1. Three teams dropped to Division 2 from Division 1 – Korea Republic, Hong Kong, and Japan. Meanwhile, Australia, New Zeland, and Vietnam made their entry into Division 1. Following India’s finish at fifth, the eTigers are now relegated to Division 2.
India started off brilliantly with a victory over New Zealand. However, Indonesia dented their confidence, producing a 2-1 victory against the eTigers, which eventually reflected on their tie against Australia. The game ended in a stalemate. India had to go all out attack in all three games to retain their places in Division 1. Although, India overcame Vietnam through 6-1 victory, Singapore hold India to a 1-1 draw. In the final leg of the day, India secured a 4-0 victory over Malaysia but it was not enough for them to remain in Division 1.
FIFAe Nations Series Play-Ins 2023 Match Week 2 Overall Standings
The team finishing top of Division 1 after Matchweek 3 and the team with the most Consistency Points after the 3 Matchweeks can directly secure their places in FIFAe Nations Playoffs, which will take place in May 2023 while the teams not qualifying from the Play-Ins will have another shot at the FIFAe Nations Online Qualifiers in April 2023 where they will get to compete with newly joined MAs for a place in the Play-Offs.
