In the last ditch to empty the crowd, the police resorted to using water cannons. The police then went on to arrest these rioters. Videos started to circulate on social media that showcased fans throwing bricks at passing cars. In Nice, fans set rubbish cans ablaze. Riots in France are quite common, however, these riots have broken in various parts of Europe during the conclusion period of the FIFA World Cup.

However, a tragic incident occurred the other day when a teenager was killed after being run over by a hooligan. In the city of Montpellier, the young boy was run over as a car driver suddenly made a U-turn. The streets were flooded with fans celebrating France’s 2-0 win against Morocco.
