The English manager had taken over a dismal England side back in 2016. England had come extremely close to touching the Euro last summer, however, they were beaten by Italy in the penalty shootout of the final. His stint so far has been nothing but positive for the England side, in return, the FA has extended his contract for another two years in 2021.
According to sources, the coach is in line for bonuses through qualifying in each stage of the World Cup. The gaffer has already got a whopping 5000000 euros for qualifying for the Qatar World Cup. However, the Football Association of England is still to make any official announcement regarding the bonus.
The three lions were through to the semi-finals of the last World Cup and they will certainly like to deliver a similar performance this year. However, the injury list grows heavy concern for the coach.
Dependable right-back Reece James has been ruled out of the World Cup while Kyle Walker is trying to get back his fitness after a groin injury. Other defenders like Trent Alexander Arnold and Harry Maguire are also nursing injuries. The coach will reveal the preliminary squad on the upcoming 20th of October. The manager would be hoping for speedy recoveries of what looks to be a huge amount of his defensive squad.
