  • Hemam Shilky Devi- Shilky Devi, is a key team player who has captained the team throughout a number of junior international matches. She was raised in the Manipuri village of Moirang, where she started playing at an early age. She has since advanced through the SAI Academy in Imphal

    Like many other female football players in the nation, Shilky has had to battle the misconception that football isn’t a sport for women. Shilky joined the U-15s in the junior national team fold in 2017, and a few years later, he became the India U-17s captain. Shilky evolved at that period from a striker to a midfielder to a defender.

    Shilky, made her senior appearance against Brazil the previous year. The 16-year-old defender was one of 15 players under the age of 25 that competed for India at the AFC Asian Cup.

  • Serto Lynda Kom- After scoring five goals in four games, Lynda Kom was named the Most Valuable Player and the Golden Boot winners of the SAFF U-18 Women’s Championship.   • Astam Oraon– The 16-year-old defender is the one to lead this array of talented young girls. Astam Oraon, is a resident of Banari Goratoli settlement in Gumla. She was chosen for the senior women’s squad of the nation and then for the U-17 national camp. Her parents live in a little agricultural area and are peasants.Oraon has two brothers and three sisters. Oraon has always enjoyed football. Oraon’s parents sent her to Saint Colombus Collegiate despite their financial limitations so she may play football in addition to her schooling.

    According to her father Heera Oraon, his daughter’s abilities at the game have long been admired by the people. She also excelled in state events, winning numerous titles. Heera has assured his children that they can pursue any career they desire. He will make every effort to help them realize their goals.
