They have been majorly hit by Porpoising which has also halted their up-gradation process. In order to get things on the right track, Mercedes have brought upgrades to Barcelona.

Photos were taken of the new-look W13 moving into Catalonia on Thursday. Little winglets under the vehicle were a prominent new expansion with an end goal to further develop airflow, having followed a comparative plan to that of Ferrari and Red Bull toward the beginning of the campaign.

Mercedes will be desperate to turn things around at the Spanish GP as they have good knowledge of the track. Meanwhile, Hamilton told the Petronas Motorsports Youtube channel, “When you go to places like Barcelona, you have so much data from decades of driving there. You go there and it’s much more relaxed because we know more about it and it’s easy to prepare for.”

If things don’t work out for Mercedes here, then it will be very late for them as Red Bull and Ferrari are flying in the front. George Russell, who has been a shining light for the Silver Arrows this year sees himself fourth in the Drivers’ standings with 59 points. His partner Hamilton is sixth in the standings with 36 points.
