The Barcelona circuit is a familiar one from pre-season testing.
“Preparation for the test is going well so far and the team have been incredibly supportive of me. I’m very much looking forward to the whole experience in Spain,” the Dutchman said.
De Vries beat Canadian Nicholas Latifi, Williams’ other current driver, to the Formula Two title in 2019.
The Dutch driver is the reigning Formula E Champion and has even won the Formula 2 title in 2019. But, his performance this year in Formula E has been disastrous as he sees himself nineteenth overall and has 15 points to show.
Nyck is the first choice to replace Nicholas Latifi for the Williams seat as the Canadian driver has had a torrid start to the 2022 season. He is reeling behind in the last place in the Drivers’ standings this year and is yet to open his points tally.
