Moreover, Ferrari as a constructor has the most number of wins at the Silverstone circuit. The Prancing Horse team has won 16 Grand Prix’s and McLaren are placed second with 14 wins.
Max Verstappen has had a great start to the 2022 season after winning six races from nine. Although, he had to retire twice from the first three races but since then he has shown great maturity on the track. Meanwhile, Sergio Perez, his teammate is also showing a great run of form this season and sees himself in the second spot in the drivers’ standings.

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, who started the Canadian GP from the back of the grid showed great resilience and his scintillating drive saw him finish the race in Montreal at fifth position. His teammate Carlos Sainz claimed the second spot in Canada after mounting immense pressure on Verstappen in the latter half of the race.
Moreover, Mercedes showed great improvements at the Canadian GP where they had a 3-4 finish in the form of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell. It was Hamilton’s second podium finish in the 2022 season and Russell continued his great run of form as he once again finished in the top five.

It will be interesting to see how Mercedes go about their business at Silverstone and whether they can give headaches to the likes of Ferrari and Red Bull. Furthermore, if Hamilton wins this time around in his home race, then he would extend his lead at the top for the most wins at the British GP.
