Carlos Sainz in his 150th race start took home the first win of his Formula 1 career by winning the British Grand Prix. It was an amazing drive by the Spanish driver and he was followed by Red Bull’s Sergio Perez in the second spot. Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton secured his third and his back-to-back podium finishes after finishing third in his home race.

Charles Leclerc who was in the top three dropped positions and claimed the fourth spot and was followed by Alpine’s Fernando Alonso in the fifth position. Meanwhile, McLaren’s Lando Norris dropped positions and finished sixth overall.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, after the restart of the race, damaged his floor and saw a drop in the downforce of the RB18 challenger as he claimed the seventh spot. Meanwhile, Haas’ Mick Schumacher had a great day today as he finished eighth and claimed his first points in his F1 career. He was literally pushing Verstappen to the limits in the dying stages of the British Grand Prix.

Aston Martin’s Sebastian Vettel, after having a difficult qualifying session finished ninth overall and scored points for his team. Moreover, Haas’ Kevin Magnussen took home the tenth spot and was amongst the points.

Lance Stroll in his AMR22 pushed hard but was still not able to claim the tenth spot as he finished eleventh overall. He was followed by Nicholas Latifi in the twelfth spot as he too dropped positions and missed out on scoring points.

Daniel Ricciardo had a poor outing as he couldn’t do much in his MCL36 and finished thirteenth overall. He was literally fighting for his spot in McLaren and desperately needs a good result under his belt.

Lastly, Yuki Tsunoda finished fourteenth and in last place as the 2022 British Grand Prix saw six drivers bow out of the race. The first lap saw a multi-car accident in which five drivers were involved and Guanyu Zhou and Alex Albon were also taken to the medical center. These drivers were George Russell, Guanyu Zhou, Alex Albon, Yuki Tsunoda, and Pierre Gasly.

Later in the race, Valtteri Bottas, Pierre Gasly, and Esteban Ocon all had to retire from the British Grand Prix as a total of six drivers registered DNF at the Silverstone circuit.
