Sam Billings has been added to the squad as a cover for Ben Foakes, who has contracted Covid-19 and missed the final two days of the 3rd Test against New Zealand. Billings kept wickets in his absence.
As for India, they will be wary of England. Although India lead the series 2-1, with a change in coaching and captaincy, England are now a fearsome unit. Furthermore, under Ben Stokes’ captaincy, England’s batting has received a new lease of life. Jonny Bairstow has been in brilliant form and so is Joe Root.

For India, top batters including Virat Kohli have not been in form. KL Rahul has been ruled out with injury while Rohit Sharma is also racing against time. The Indian captain is currently under isolation after contracting Covid.
Mayank Agarwal has been added to the squad as backup. The Karnataka opener has reached England today and will link up with the squad tomorrow (June 28).
