ENG vs NZ: Bracewell & Conway tests positive for Covid-19: There is no end to troubles for New Zealand, as a day after Michael Bracewell tested positive for COVID-19, it has been confirmed that Devon Conway has also contracted the virus. Conway undertook a PCR test on arrival in London on Wednesday evening in preparation for a team activity. Meanwhile, Bracewell undertook a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) after waking up with symptoms. Both of them will require five days of isolation before rejoining the group ahead of the final Test at Headingley in Leeds starting Thursday June 23.

The 31-year-old batter from Wairarapa, Bracewell played for the visitors in the second Test and did a fairly decent job, though not particularly impressive. He scored 49 runs in the first innings and 25 runs in the second.
Meanwhile, these two not the only member from the New Zealand camp to have tested positive for the virus. Though no other player has contracted COVID-19, physio Vijay Vallabh and strength & conditioning coach Chris Donaldson have also returned a positive diagnosis. New Zealand have confirmed that they are not seeking a replacement player at this stage.

Meanwhile, the Blackcaps will be desperate for a comeback after losing both of the first two Tests. In the first Test, the visitors suffered a 5-wicket defeat, with Joe Root being the star for the Three Lions. On the other hand, Jonny Bairstow was England’s hero in the second Test, where the hosts handed New Zealand yet another 5-wicket defeat.
