Emilia-Romagna GP: Timings of Practice, Qualifying, Race, Live Streaming, and All you need to know: Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix is coming for the third year on Formula 1 calendar. It is a Formula One racing event held at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, frequently referred to as ‘Imola’ after the town where it is found. The first race at the Emilia-Romagna GP was held in 2020 and was won by Lewis Hamilton. The year 2021 saw Red Bull’s Max Verstappen winning the Grand Prix. Meanwhile, this year the first sprint race of the season will take place at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix.

When was the track built?

Imola or the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari as it’s been known starting around 1988, had its establishment stone laid in March 1950. It was prepared for testing by October 1952. However, the racing started at the circuit in 1953.

When was its first Grand Prix?

Imola first hosted a non-championship F1 race in 1963. However, it would take some politicking with Monza in 1980 preceding the track was granted the distinction of facilitating the Italian Grand Prix interestingly that year. Meanwhile, from 1981, the two tracks cooperated in perfect harmony, with Imola taking on its popular ‘San Marino’ title, and hosting 27 Grands Prix up until 2006. However, it returned as a venue for the Emilia Romagna GP in 2020.

Who won the last Grand Prix?

The last Grand Prix in 2021 was won by Red Bull’s Max Verstappen. Meanwhile, he was followed by Lewis Hamilton and McLaren’s Lando Norris settled for a third-place finish.
