As per reports, there will be three camps which will take place in Mysore. Each camp will comprise 20 players. Practice matches ranging from T20, ODI, and multi-day games will take place before the squad for the Emerging Team Cup gets selected. The Team Cup will take place in New Zealand later this year.
Players who have performed well in the 2021-22 Ranji Trophy season will get the chance to be in the Mysore camp under the coaching of Sitanshu Kotak, India A coach. However, the players at the NCA camp will be under the guidance of India U-19 coach Hrishikesh Kanitkar who will see over the players from the U-19 World Cup squad.

The final camp at Anantpur will be under the charge of Amol Mazumdar who will see over the players that failed to be a part of the U-19 World Cup squad over the previous two editions but can feature in the upcoming Ranji season.
“A lot of the young cricketers suffered for one full season (2020-21) due to lack of quality practice and game time when the pandemic was at its peak. But with these camps, these guys can work on their game and prepare on getting themselves ready for the bigger levels. That’s the idea of Dravid and Laxman,” an NCA coach said.
The Emerging Team Trophy has been essential for Indian cricket. Players like Virat Kohli, Ravichandran Ashwin, and BHuvneshwar Kumar have risen through the ranks to the Indian squad.
