It isn’t making it out in 2021 but the game will finally launch on February 25, 2022 which was initially January 21 when the game was revealed.Elden Ring’s gameplay trailer shows a lot of similarities with the Souls series. Fans will find very similar combat styles and animations. Spellcasting, backstabbing, dodging and rolling are very familiar with previous Souls games. As far as stamina bars are concerned, FromSoftware says, “The stamina bar exists in Elden Ring, but we feel it has less influence on the player overall. We wanted to make it feel less restrictive”.
Elden Ring has also confirmed that it will feature co-op for up to four players. Players can summon their friends for co-op and like the Souls games, they will appear as phantoms. The gameplay trailer also revealed several more features about Elden Ring’s world. There will be weather and a time system in the world. The world is divided into six main areas, which will consist of their own bosses and dungeons.
