While CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan pressed that MS Dhoni will continue to be an integral part of the franchise, he didn’t say in which role. As per CSK sources, MS Dhoni is all set to call it a time on his illustrious career and take up CSK’s mentorship role.

“It is a call that every player needs to take and Dhoni will announce his. As per the discussions we had with MS, 2022 will be his last. That is the reason he wanted to pass on the mantle to Jadeja. • With the bat, he looked shaky and dropped a few catches behind the stumps as well.
  • With a new team at the helm, MS Dhoni wanted the next captain to take charge.
  • He handed over the reins to Ravindra Jadeja, who has been with the franchise since 2012 and is an integral member of the squad.

As Ravindra Jadeja pointed out, he doesn’t need to worry as long as Dhoni is there, it will hold true as a player till this season. CSK CEO also confirmed a continuous association of Shoni with CSK.
