East Bengal and Mohun Bagan clubs reportedly complained that they did not receive enough tickets. In most cases, club members and VVIPs received tickets. There have been 120 tickets sold thus far. This time, the number of tickets has allegedly been cut in half. Owners of the club allegedly refused to accept tickets.

Officials from the Mohun Bagan club did the same thing. In a news release, club secretary Debashis Dutt charged the Lal Yellow with selling less tickets than necessary. As a result, they are giving. “They (investor) want to keep hold of tickets. They are not football people, they don’t quite know how many to give to whom,” a veteran EB official, who didn’t want to be identified, said.
East Bengal’s legacy authorities, who are in a difficult position, have conveniently removed themselves from the incident and blamed their investor. The investor strongly disputes this accusation.
“We have given to Bagan the same number of tickets we received in the first leg (Bagan won it 2-0 on Oct 29, 2022). We have only kept 3,000 tickets for our employees, business associates etc and have distributed all we had,” an Emami insider claimed on condition of anonymity. “We wish to state that complimentary tickets have been distributed amongst all our stakeholders as per the usual practice,” read a statement from them.
This time, the stadium admission gates for supporters of both sides have been notified by the organisers. The stands marked C3, C2, and C1 on the left are for followers of Mohun Bagan. Moreover, D3, D2, and D1 stands are set aside for them. They have also been given A1 stand to the right and A2 stand to the right. For supporters of the red and yellow teams, there are C3, C2, and C1 stands on the right. Also fixed are the D3, D2, and D1 stands. For supporters of the red and yellow teams, the A1 stand on the left is the A2 stand on the left.
