Sindhu showed who is the boss after Busanan levelled up in the second set. She showed her class to outplay the Thai professional to enter the next round. With the victory, Sindhu also completed her hat-trick of victories over Busanan.

- Busanan defeats PV Sindhu 21-12
Thai shuttler Busanan fought back against double Olympic medallist PV Sindhu in style. She overcame her deficit to take the game in her favour. Despite trailing 7-11 at one stage, she ended up turning the tables upside down. Busanan won the only game point in Game 2.
