The two devastating openers gave PBKS bowlers thrashing of their lifetime, cruising to 81 runs within the powerplay. Delhi Capitals might have just two-three hours of practice but they have blown Punjab Kings away. Spinners were on top on a surface that saw 400 runs scored between RR vs KKR match. But Punjab Kings did a harakiri with the top-order collapse. The extra bowler strategy did not work out as Jitesh Sharma scored the highest with 32.
Sent to bat, Punjab Kings never looked in good shape. Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed early and soon Mayank Agarwal threw away his wicket. Liam Livingstone, Jonny Bairstow, Shahrukh Khan all failed to fire.
