In the latest update, Alves reportedly needs to pay £4 million to Mexican football club UNAM Pumas for allegedly breaching his contract. The defender was contracted with the club during his time of arrest. According to report Brazilian news outlet UOL Sport has disclosed an email on Dani Alves returning the money to the club.

According to Football Espana, Alves had said, “I will accept whatever comes. I left home when I was barely 15 years old. I have overcome very difficult and complicated situations in my life. This will be one more that will pass. Nothing scares me,”.
Following the arrest, UNAM Pumas released a statement which said, “With the information that occurred today about the legal process that the player Dani Alves is facing, and for which he is detained in Spain”
“we have determined to communicate the following: the Club Universidad Nacional has made the decision to terminate the employment contract with Dani Alves from this day on.”
Eight witnesses TESTIFY in Dani Alves case
Another revelation during Dani Alves rape case was about eight witness testifying against the footballer in relation to the case. The victim went on to reveal to her friends, how Alves flirted with her, groped her, and then proceeded to rape her.
The incident happened in Barcelona’s Sutton nightclub. One of the novelties that surfaced was the magistrate’s offer to one of the victim’s two friends to report the player. The young woman confirmed what she had already told the Mossos d’Esquadra, namely that he had rough-house groped her, touched her private parts, and that she had warned him to stop twice.
