CWG 2022 Table Tennis LIVE – India at CWG 2022: Talisman paddler Sharath Kamal, Sathiyan Gnanasekaran and Manika Batra will lead the Indian Table Tennis contingent in the upcoming 2022 Commonwealth Games. The 10-member contingent that also has two reserved players will be in action during the entire duration of the Commonwealth Games as the players will be in action in both the men’s and women’s team events as well as individual events. Schedule
As per the schedule, the mixed team events are scheduled prior to the individual events. After the completion of it, the players will then play for individual medals. Meanwhile, the Para Table Tennis events are also scheduled to be conducted simultaneously. The Para contingent will be led by Tokyo Paralympic semifinalist Bhavina Patel.
Both the men and the women’s team secured the gold medal in the 2018 edition and are the defending champions.

Individual events
After the completion of the team event, players will then focus on individual glory. Indians will be in action in Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles.
Manika Batra, who won the Women’s singles Gold medal at Gold Coast in 2018 is once again the favourite to win the yellow metal. Batra also won the women’s doubles silver medal alongside partner Mouma Das in 2018. This time, she will be partnering with Diya Chatale.
Veteran Sharath Kamal leads the Men’s Draws. He won the Bronze medal in 2018 and will look to better his performance in what will probably be his last appearance in Commonwealth Games. In the men’s doubles Sharath Kamal and Sathiyan won the silver medal at Gold Coast and the pair will look to go for gold this time. Sathiyan too will aim for a podium finish in the men’s singles.
In the Mixed Doubles, Sharath Kamal and Manika Batra won the Bronze medal in 2018 and the duo has been in terrific form this year and they have risen to the Top 10 in the world. They will look to win the gold in the upcoming edition.
