CWG 2022 Esports Live- Commonwealth Esports Championships 2022: The Group Stage of Commonwealth Esports Championships 2022 kicked off yesterday. On the first day, the Indian DOTA 2 team had a match-up with Trinidad & Tobago, where India got a walkover in the match since the opponent team didn’t show up at the event. The second day of the CWEC 2022 DOTA 2 group stage will take place today where India will play against Wales and England. A total of 4 teams (top 2 teams from each group) from the group stage will proceed to the playoffs of the DOTA 2 Open at CEWC 2022 which will lead to the finals on August 7. The Indian DOTA 2 team exhibited a fantastic performance during the regional qualifiers of the Commonwealth Esports Championships 2022. The Indian DOTA 2 team defeated Sri Lanka twice while winning one round each against Bangladesh and Pakistan. The team managed to finish second after Pakistan and secured its spot at the CWEC 2022. The same team is selected for the Asian Games to represent India at the DOTA 2 event which will take place next year. Indian DOTA 2 team will start its journey at CWEC 2022 today, where fans will be expecting the team to qualify for the final stage.

DOTA 2 Groups at CWG 2022 Esports Championships
Below are the groups for the DOTA 2 tournament at CWEC 2022:
Group A– Trinidad and Tobago, England, Wales, India
Group B– Pakistan, New Zealand, Malaysia
Unfortunately, Trinidad & Tobago and Pakistan didn’t show up at the Group stage on Day 1 of the Commonwealth Esports Championships 2022. Therefore, both teams are out of the competition now.
CWG 2022 Esports LIVE: DOTA 2 Schedule for Group Stage Day 2
Group Stage matches of the DOTA 2 Open will be taking place in a Best of 1 format (total 5 rounds). Here is the schedule for the CWEC 2022 DOTA2 Open Group Stage day 2:
- 2:45 PM IST – Group A – India vs Wales
- 5:15 PM IST – Group B – India vs England
After these two matches, the top two teams from each group will move to the playoffs of the CWEC 2022 DOTA 2 Open. The playoffs matches will take place later today, and will be played in a Best of 3 format where each match contains 5 rounds.
- 7:00 PM IST – Semi-Final 1
- 10:00 PM IST – Semi-Final 2
